It all started back in February of 2017, when Katarina Ristić, who was a student in the eighth-grade in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, was assigned to do a project on the “Bosnian War”. A presentation made by a 14-year-old girl of Serbian origin stirred the spirits of her primary school, but also opened up a path to fight for justice, which resulted in removing propaganda that portrays Serbs in a bad light.
Katarina Ristic is currently a student at Loyola University in Chicago and we are proud to have her as the first president of the Serbian American Student Organization.
